Greater New Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church
(Young Adult Ministry)
“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be reconciled to
God. (II Cor. 5:20)
Purpose: This is a ministry for young adults between the ages of 19-40 who meet to strengthen their spiritual walk through
Christian Fellowship, and discussion groups.
Meeting Dates : Every 2nd & 3rd
Monday—6:00 p.m.
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” (Psalm 133:1)
Purpose: A men’s ministry to fellowship and to study the Word of God in order to rightly divide the Word of truth. To set a
Christian example for daily living and biblical learning through prayer, evangelism and Christian encouragement.
Meeting Dates: Every 2nd & 4th Saturday
“Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear; and that
they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law” (Deuteronomy 31:12) “Study to show
thyself approved unto God, A workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (II Timothy 2:15)
Purpose: The Church School Ministry provides Christian education through the teaching of the International Sunday School Lesson
and special elective courses. Each student is encouraged to draw closer to God through the dedication of one’s life and faithful
stewardship under the direction of the Holy Spirit .
Meeting Date: Every Sunday 9:30 a.m..
“Even so much their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.” (I Tim. 3:1)
Purpose: Deacons’ wives are called Deaconesses. Deaconesses should provide valuable support to their husbands in his task of
promoting harmony within the Church and of ministering to persons in the name of Christ. Specific duties performed by the
Deaconesses are: Preparing the Holy Communion, washing of linen and the gloves, assisting with the preparation of the Candidates
for Baptism and any other tasks the Pastor may ask them to perform.
Meeting Date: Sat. Before 1st Sunday —10:00 a.m.
“ Then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the
foundation of the world. For I was a hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me a drink: I was a stranger, and ye
took me in . Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.” (Matthew 25:34-36)
Purpose: A ministry of women, youth and children who fellowship with each other as they grow in their devotion to Jesus Christ
as Lord and Savior. They uphold the mission of the church which is to minister to the least, the lost, the downtrodden and the
disadvantaged; to feed the hungry, cloth the naked, visit the sick and imprisoned and assist in the sheltering of strangers.
Meeting Date 3rd Sat. of each month at 2:00 p.m.Except the month of August.
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever
I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. A’-men.” (Matthew 28: 18-20)
Purpose: To evangelize to lost souls in the community sharing with them the Gospel, of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ,
compelling them to come to Jesus while they have time.
Meeting Date: Every Tuesday—8:00 p .m.
- FEMALE RESPONSIBILITY MINISTRY (SEEDS & KEYS)
“The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of
good things. That they may teach the young women to be sober…”
(Titus 2:3-4a)
Purpose: This is a Christian based female mentoring program which educates, trains, equips, and empowers girls ages 7-18 to live
an abundant life in Jesus and to grow into virtuous, victorious women.
Meeting Date: Monday—6:00 p.m.-8:00 p. m.
(only when Public School is in session)
- HEARING IMPAIRED MINISTRY
“And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book…”
(Isaiah 29:18a)
“With goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men.” (Ephesians 6:7)
Purpose: To maintain the cleanliness of our kitchen and to supervise its usage. To assist, if necessary, all ministries and guests with
the preparation of meals or any catering needs.
MALE RESPONSIBILITY MINISTRY

Purpose: This is a Christian based male mentoring program which educates, trains, equips, and empowers boys ages 7-18 to live an
abundant life in Jesus and to grow into strong, men.
Meeting Date: Thursday—6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
(only when Public School is in session)
“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”
(Ephesians 5:19)
Purpose: To enhance the worship services to glorify God through song. To edify the church by singing praises to God for all He
has done and is doing for us.

- MALE CHORUS (Mighty Voices of Thunder)
Meeting Date: Saturday—6:00 p m.
(No rehearsal Saturday before 2nd Sunday)
